Go to setup, reporting, statement, custom statement. The two statement formats are set up there. Select the statement you want to change and the click the 'page layout' tab . Write down the settings before you change them and then try changing just one thing at a time. Let me know if I can help .

Also- if you want to see the 'default' settings for a standard report format you can go to setup, reporting, statement, column width and font , select the report format and then click the tab that says 'view col widths and fonts ' .
