hp printer reset drivers

Good Day. Thank you for taking an interest in the HP community. I understand that you require assistance regarding issues with the print job getting delayed or not working correctly I will be really glad to assist you here. :slightly_smiling_face:

Fabulous description and superb diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. :slightly_smiling_face:

To assist you with accurate information I would require more information regarding this:

  • What application is being used to print? Is it Word?
  • Did it happen after a recent software or Windows update?
  • Did it occur after a recent power outage or surge?

For now, try these steps:

Uninstall the printer drivers and reinstall it by performing these steps:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Remove all instances of the same.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • Restart the PC again.
  • Then create a new user account as an administrator from this link: http://hp.care/2rZfJBC

Log into the new user account after restarting your computer.

  • Then download the latest full feature driver http://hp.care/2txwUzu and install it on the computer after selecting the correct operating system.
  • Connect the printer to your computer only when the setup prompts for the printer.
  • This should fix it for you.
  • If this does not do the trick, please download the Windows Built-in drivers by following instructions from this link: http://hp.care/2o3acvH

This should do the trick for you. For further assistance please follow the relevant steps from the guided troubleshooter link: http://hp.care/2yF0yF6 (HP Printers - Print Jobs Stuck in Print Queue)
